I have been awarded for academic, research, and clinical merit. I am a dedicated lifelong learner, with my clients being my best and most inspiring teachers.

Alongside my clinical work, I also support organisations through consultancy and evaluation.

Approach

My understanding of psychological difficulties is based in attachment theory and interpersonal neurobiology. In a few words, I focus on how our relationships, brain, and the rest of our body are involved in creating and maintaining psychological difficulties.

I have experience using a range of evidence-based therapy types. The main therapy I use is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). ACT provides the tools to stop distress or discomfort in our internal worlds getting in the way of living a rich and fulfilling life.

I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Circle of Security. I draw upon this diverse therapeutic knowledge and experience to tailor a solution that fits you.

Education & qualifications

I completed a 4 year Bachelor degree in Science with First Class Honours in Psychology at the University of Sydney. I went on to complete a further 4 year combined Clinical Masters and PhD in Psychology at the University of Wollongong.

I also undertook training to become a Board approved supervisor for psychologists.

I continue to do research in the university and not for profit sectors.
